Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic® Studio frames are constructed of kiln dried alder hardwood and are corner blocked, double doweled and heavily braced with no sag spring decks. The no sag seating support system is robust and versatile. Technologically speaking, it is simple, consisting of springs stretched in an arched fashion laterally mounted along the length of the sofa. There is a lifetime guarantee on frames and spring construction. Standard cushions are constructed of soft fill. The seats consist of a foam core, surrounded by an envelope of polyester soft fill for comfort and durability. The backs are also soft fill. Down and feather cushions are available for upgrades. The down and feather seat consists of a foam core surrounded by a channeled envelope filled with 90% feathers and 10% down. In both cases, the backs have no foam cores. The backs are all down and feather. Slipcovers are prewashed and overlocked. They are machine washable and can be tumble dried in low temperature.
